Law Enforcement PIT & High-Speed Pursuit Training

Turn One Performance Driving offers a full-day Law Enforcement training program designed to improve officer confidence, vehicle control, and pursuit safety. The program is divided into two sections, allowing agencies the option to attend the half-day PIT Certification only or continue into the full-day Advanced PIT & High-Speed Pursuit Training.

Training is led by Turn One Senior Instructors, including current and former Law Enforcement Officers, and combines classroom instruction with hands-on driving exercises at Carolina Motorsports Park.

First Half: PIT Certification

The morning session focuses on the fundamentals of the Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT). Officers will learn proper PIT procedures, safety considerations, pursuit decision-making, and vehicle dynamics before moving to the track for hands-on practice.

Officers will train using Turn One vehicles to develop a better understanding of how to safely perform and recover from the PIT maneuver in a controlled environment.

PIT Certification Only

• Half-Day Program

• $350 per officer

• Group Rate: $300 per officer (6 or more)

• 5 Hours Credit for PIT

Full-Day: Advanced PIT & High-Speed Pursuit Training

Agencies looking for additional training can continue into the afternoon session, which builds on the skills learned during the PIT portion. The advanced session focuses on high-speed vehicle control, advanced PIT techniques, pursuit driving, crash avoidance, skid pad exercises, and emergency vehicle operations. Officers will have the opportunity to train in both Turn One vehicles and their department vehicles to better understand vehicle handling in real-world pursuit situations.

• $700 per officer

• 5 Hours Credit for High Speed/EVO

This combined program gives agencies the flexibility to choose the level of training that best fits their needs while providing officers with practical, hands-on experience in a safe and controlled environment.
